Indian T20 skipper Suryakumar Yadav announced that he would donate his entire Asia Cup match fee to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and the Armed Forces. Soon after, an old video of AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj challenging him to do the same resurfaced online, sparking political reactions.
Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav on Monday pledged to donate his entire match fee from the Asia Cup 2025 to the families affected by the Pahalgam terror attack and to the Indian Armed Forces.
Sharing the news on X, he wrote:
“I’ve decided to contribute my match fees from this tournament to support our Armed Forces and the families of those who lost their loved ones in the Pahalgam terror attack. You are always in my prayers. Jai Hind.”
Soon after his announcement, a video of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj resurfaced and went viral on social media. In the clip, Bharadwaj is seen challenging the Indian skipper to contribute to the widows of the Pahalgam victims.

The video was widely shared by BJP leaders, including national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla, who posted it on X with the caption:
“AAP had challenged Suryakumar Yadav, with Saurabh Bharadwaj saying, ‘tumhari aukaat hai to de do paisa.’ And now, SKY has silenced critics by dedicating his match fees to the Armed Forces.”
Poonawalla further questioned whether Bharadwaj should continue in public life after making such remarks.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Saurabh Bharadwaj shared another video, reportedly recorded before the start of the Asia Cup. In the clip, Suryakumar Yadav can be seen shaking hands with Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Commenting on the video, Bharadwaj said:
“Just 15 days ago, at the start of the series, they shook hands with Pakistan’s minister Mohsin Naqvi and even posed for a photo. But when there was opposition to the match in India, a new script was given to the players so that propaganda could be run in the country.”
